I would like to ask why in "dusk of madness overtime showed that everything started around the middle of April 2008, and the action of the series itself takes place in June 2008.so My question is, what happened in May 2008? what did the protaganists do for a whole month and what was happening all over the world?

well, I definitely like it, but the question arises why Nick turned into a zombie after about an hour or more, although the period from infection to resuscitation as a zombie takes from 1-5 minutes

This was briefly mentioned in Day of the Madness on a news clip.
"Infection duration depends on the size of the wound and its proximity to a major blood vessel."

So Nick's medium-sized wound on his lower back would take longer to spread as opposed to large bites to the neck or chest.
